OyaLinkup Limited (“OyaLinkup”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies on oyalinkup.com and Daily Cashbook. This policy describes the technologies currently used by our live services.
Read this policy with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal data.
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small text value stored by your browser and sent with relevant website requests. Local storage keeps information in your browser until it is removed, while session storage normally lasts only for the current browser tab or session.
Daily Cashbook also stores an offline copy of records and app state in local storage so that supported actions can continue without an internet connection and synchronise later.
3. What We Currently Store
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookie

3.2 Local Storage
Daily Cashbook uses first-party local storage for functions requested by the user:
- Authentication: access and refresh tokens used to keep you signed in and communicate with the service.
- App security: the locally hashed app PIN and a device identifier.
- Offline records: locally cached sales, expenses, settlements, categories, and synchronisation state.
- Preferences: app settings and whether optional prompts have been shown or dismissed.
The OyaLinkup website may also use local storage for sign-in state and a saved cookie-choice record where a consent control is displayed.
3.3 Session Storage
We use session storage for temporary app state, including sign-in or registration handoff information, one-time interface state, and preventing repeated actions during the same browser session. This information is normally removed when the tab or browser session ends.
4. Why We Use These Technologies
- authenticate users and protect restricted app pages;
- keep Daily Cashbook working offline where supported;
- synchronise records after connectivity returns;
- apply app security controls such as the local PIN;
- preserve settings and temporary navigation state; and
- maintain the reliability and security of the service.
We do not currently set advertising or behavioural advertising cookies. We also do not currently set first-party analytics cookies on the public OyaLinkup website or Daily Cashbook.
5. Third-Party Services
When you choose to use an external service, that provider may use cookies or browser storage on its own website or checkout page. The live services that may be opened or used include:
- Google: when you choose Google as a sign-in method.
- Paystack: when you open checkout to pay for a Daily Cashbook subscription.
- WhatsApp: when you follow a support or community link.
These providers control their own technologies and process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
6. Your Controls
Most browsers let you inspect, block, and delete cookies, local storage, and site data. You can also clear Daily Cashbook's stored app data through your browser or device settings.
Blocking or deleting necessary storage may sign you out, reset your PIN or preferences, interrupt synchronisation, and remove offline records that have not reached our servers. Before clearing site data, check that important records have synchronised and export any records you need.
7. Legal Basis
We use necessary cookies and browser storage to provide the service you request, maintain account security, and support our legitimate interest in operating a reliable service. If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising, or similar technologies that require consent, we will provide an appropriate choice before using them.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our services or storage technologies change. We will update the date above and provide reasonable notice where a change materially affects your choices or privacy.
